Alison Moore is Named EVP and General Manager of DailyCandy Former HBO Digital Executive to Lead Iconic Women's Digital Brand, Known For Its Taste-Making Discoveries

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Alison Moore has been named Executive Vice President and General Manager of DailyCandy, the original trusted source for taste-making discoveries of fashion, food and fun. Moore joins from Home Box Office, where she was Senior Vice President, Digital Products. Effective November 1, she will report to Nick Lehman, President of Digital for NBCUniversal's Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media group, of which DailyCandy is a part.

Moore will be responsible for taking the business to the next level of success, with a strong focus on launching newly reimagined DailyCandy experiences across the web, mobile, and social, igniting even greater engagement and robust dialogue with its influential user base of over six million women.  She will lead DailyCandy's video initiatives, including multiple original digital video series as well as its multiplatform programming partnership with the Style Network, "StyleCandy." Moore will also be charged with building even deeper ties for DailyCandy across NBCUniversal's broad collection of television and digital properties.

Recently recognized on The Hollywood Reporter's 2012 Digital Top 50 List, Moore was responsible for launching key digital products such as the acclaimed HBO GO, HBO's TV Everywhere product.  For the last two years, Moore has overseen HBO's digital consumer experience, content development strategy and operations of HBO's digital products, which also include: HBO.com/Cinemax.com, HBO Social Platforms and HBO/Cinemax On Demand.

Moore first joined HBO as a marketing manager in 1995, responsible for developing marketing programs with affiliate partners.  She left the company in 1999, returning to HBO in 2003 as director, Brand Development.  She was promoted to vice president, Brand Strategy and Digital Platforms in May 2006, overseeing HBO's consumer websites, social and promotional platforms, as well as HBO's brand advertising and promotional strategy. In 2008, Moore and her team won several Cannes Lions for the groundbreaking HBO brand experience: HBO Voyeur.

During her hiatus from HBO, Moore was instrumental in helping launch two internet start-ups: in 1999, as director, B2B Marketing, for Flooz.com; and in 2000 she co-founded a start-up, DatSat, where as vice president, Market Development, she was responsible for overseeing business development and go-to-market strategies. From 2001 to 2003, she was director, Product Strategy, at Cablevision, where she was responsible for product strategy, marketing and branding of Optimum Online, Cablevision's award-winning consumer broadband service.

She began her career at Turner Broadcasting, Inc. in Atlanta, GA, where she served as manager, Affiliate Relations and Marketing from 1992 to 1995. Moore holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Georgia.
