All Criminal Charges Dismissed Against Real Estate Developer Shalva Chigirinsky, according to Benaur Law
All Criminal Charges Dropped; State court judge finds "insufficient" evidence
GREENWICH, Conn., Feb. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Real estate developer Shalva Chigirinsky was exonerated by the Connecticut State Superior Court in Stamford on two felony counts arising from allegations during a contentious and well-publicized custody dispute still pending in Stamford Connecticut.
In an earlier ruling in Family Court, Judge Colin concluded that the "evidence is insufficient for me to conclude the defendant sexually abused one or more of the children."
"The allegations against Mr. Chigirinskiy were spiteful and baseless. It is worth noting that his former wife Ms. Panchenkova was also criminally charged with risk of injury to the children. We are gratified to see the charges against Mr Chigirinskiy fully dropped," said George Benaur, Mr. Chigirinski's attorney.
Mr. Benaur pointed to court records questioning the credibility of the allegations by a court-appointed expert, saying, "Dr. Arnold Sheinvold submitted an extensive written report on the matter and also testified that Tatiana Panchenkova engaged in alienation and stereotypic induction of the children creating a 'toxic environment' against the father."
"My children and my name are very important to me. Exoneration by the authorities helps with both and helps with healing my family," said Mr. Chigirinsky.
