All-Vegan Delicatessen to Open in Miami in Early 2017
Little River storefront to sell hand-crafted meats, cheeses, sandwiches, and more; Mobile food truck currently available for parties, events
MIAMI, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Plant meats are the hottest new trend to hit the culinary world, and now Miami is getting a "plant butcher" of its very own. Atlas Meat-Free Delicatessen, South Florida's first and only purveyor of hand-crafted vegan meats and cheeses, is opening a full-service delicatessen location.
The Little River District outpost will open for business in early 2017 at 98 NE 79th St. The store will cater to herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores alike, offering crowd-pleasing, plant-based "meats" and "cheeses" that taste just like the real thing — only healthier, more sustainable, and cruelty-free. Pastrami sandwiches, burgers, meatball subs, sliced cheeses — all are mainstays on Atlas' menu.
"We're so excited to bring our meat-free comfort foods to a larger audience," says owner and founder Ryan Bauhaus. "Basically, we make vegan food for meat eaters. Even die-hard carnivores get excited about the hearty, familiar flavors of our recipes."
The store will be modeled after a traditional deli, offering carry-out and prepared foods, and eventually, products for wholesale. The location will also host an array of events, including weekly brunches, outdoor BBQs, live entertainment and even a weekly farmer's market.
For those who want the full Atlas experience, there's no need to wait until 2017. You can find Atlas Meat-Free at The Wynwood Yard located in Miami 6-days a week as well as the original location in Hollywood's Yellow Green Farmer's Market on the weekends. Atlas Meat-Free also offers full-service catering and door-to-door food service. They cater workplaces; school and university events; productions; community events and round-ups; private parties, and more.
Atlas' products are entirely unique, developed from Bauhaus' own recipes, and boast zero chemical or preservative ingredients (unlike many national brands). The company got its start at the farmer's market back in 2014. Since then, the local brand has earned rave reviews for its carnivore-approved vegan comfort food.
The Little River District location is currently in the midst of renovations, and the team plans to be open in time for the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in February of 2017. Atlas will be the sole vegan competitor in the world-famous Burger Bash competition, hosted by celebrity chef Rachel Ray.
Atlas Meat-Free Deli's Little River District location is scheduled to open in early 2017 at 98 NE 79th St., and the original Hollywood branch is located at the Yellow Green Farmer's Market, 1940 N. 30th Rd. The Atlas food truck is currently available for hire, and can be reached at 305-323-6661, or [email protected].
