ALL YOU Launches Search For 2014 America's Smartest Shopper

NEW YORK, July 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Time Inc.'s ALL YOU, a brand that pioneered the smart shopping movement, is searching for America's Smartest Shopper. Beginning today, smart shoppers are able to enter via social media with the hashtag #aysmartestshopper or submit their best shopping tip at www.allyou.com/smartestshopper. As part of the contest, which is sponsored by Samsung, ALL YOU will select 25 semifinalists who will be given a new Samsung Galaxy S® 5 to create a 60-second video that explains why they should be crowned the next ALL YOU America's Smartest Shopper; ten finalists will be chosen and ALL YOU, voters and a panel of saving-savvy judges, including Kristen Bellstrom, senior editor of Time Inc.'s MONEY, Trae Bodge, senior lifestyle editor for digital offers destination RetailMeNot, Teri Cosenzi, beauty expert and founder of BeautifulMakeupSearch.com, and Crystal Paine, founder of MoneySavingMom.com – will determine the winner, who will then be revealed live on NBC's TODAY Show in advance of Black Friday later this fall. A call-to-action for the America's Smartest Shopper contest is featured in the August issue of ALL YOU, on newsstands nationwide today.

How to Enter

You can also enter via hashtag on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #aysmartestshopper. Entries will be accepted from July 25th through August 15th. Official rules are available on the site.
Voting
- Voting takes place September 17th until October 3rd.
Prizes
- The winner will take home $1,000 plus a Samsung prize package including the Galaxy Tab® S 8.4, Gear Fit and Smart TV.
- Two runners-up will each receive $500 plus a Galaxy Tab® S 8.4, Gear Fit and Samsung Level™ On headphones.
- Three finalists will receive a trip with a guest to New York City, where the winner will be revealed live on NBC's TODAY Show.
2013 FINALISTS
After nearly 200 thousand reader votes, last year's winner of ALL YOU's America's Smartest Shopper Contest was Emily Graves from Ottawa, Kansas. She saves her community hundreds of thousands of dollars every month by posting local deals on her price-matching blog, gravespartyof4.blogspot.com. Runners-up included Allison Eisig who used a combination of credit card rewards and discounts to travel to Fiji, Australia, and Hawaii for less than $1,000, and Shawan Burns who recycles used ink cartridges at office-supply stores to earn rewards that she then redeems for free office supplies.
