Alliance Data's Card Services Business Names Wes Hunt As Vice President, Enterprise Data Science And Analytics

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliance Data's card services business, a premier provider of branded private label, co-brand, and business card programs, has appointed Wes Hunt as vice president, data scientist. In this position, he will serve as the organization's enterprise data science and analytics leader and be responsible for further advancing Alliance Data's strategic investments in data and analytics. Hunt will also lead Alliance Data's Analytics and Insights Institute, the organization's data-driven in-house consultancy providing world-class expertise, resources, insights, and thought leadership to brand and industry partners.

Hunt has more than 25 years of experience in the application of data and analytics, most recently serving as MetLife's chief data officer, where he led the company's data and analytics strategy globally. Before MetLife, Hunt was chief data officer at Nationwide Insurance, where he established the customer information and analytics function and sponsored efforts to create actionable insights and a single view of the customer across all consumer-facing channels. Hunt also previously held management positions at IBM Corporation, Wells Fargo Bank, KPMG and JPMorgan Chase.

Hunt is an established thought leader in the data and analytics field, having been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Cornium Research's Top 50 Data & Analytics Professionals. He has also served as a guest lecturer at Stanford University, Wharton, and The Ohio State University. Hunt will report to Jami Dewolf, chief marketing officer.

Hunt is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in addition to undergraduate degrees in economics and finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
