Alliant Technologies Announces Organizational Restructuring

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Technology is entering a new era, where managed services and cloud computing, driven by Software and Infrastructure as a Service (SaaS and IaaS, respectively) will form the dominant IT service delivery mechanisms.  Alliant Technologies has positioned itself to deliver services that meet this new consumption model.  The company is pleased to announce an organizational restructuring that will position it to effectively leverage the investments made in anticipation of this shift.  Through our investments in resources, technologies and partnerships, Alliant's new structure will enable it to play a leadership role as it continues to adapt for its customers, strategic vendors and employees.

To position the company for this expected growth, Alliant announces an immediate merging of its Managed Services, Professional Services, Cabling and VAR businesses to complete its end-to-end service vision for its clients.  The following management changes will be effective immediately so that the company can divide the organizational responsibilities to efficiently facilitate this change:

Bruce Flitcroft will focus on strategic CEO initiatives, including developing the vision for the continued evolution of Alliant, handing off day-to-day operational activities to Mike Pastor.  Mike Pastor has assumed the role of President of Alliant Technologies, building upon the successful transition of the Managed Services business over the past 18 months into a best-of-breed managed/cloud IT services integrator.  Mike will bring his strategies for standardization, optimization and business profitability growth to the combined Alliant business.

Linda McGuigan has been promoted to SVP, Sales and Marketing, with her track record of Channel Sales success to grow revenue across all Alliant lines of business.  Manak Ahluwalia will add CTO to his New England General Manager role.  As CTO, Manak will be responsible to help direct Alliant's technical vision while working with the executive team to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of services capitalizing on the new IT consumption model.

The balance of the management team, also reporting to the President, include: Gary Finkel, CFO; Rich Truche, VP of Business Operations; Dominick Lunanuova, VP of Service Operations; Jay Brennan, Director of HR; and Dan Cirelli, Director of Business Development.
