AllStar Deals Launches First Social Commerce Website that Pays Users to Source Daily Deals and Market them to their Social Networks
POTOMAC, Md. and NEW YORK, March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The first social commerce website that pays consumers to source daily deals and market them to their social networks, is officially open for business beginning with three local markets – Washington, D.C.; San Francisco; and Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg.
AllStar Deals™ (www.allstardeals.com) enables consumers to act as entrepreneurs by finding and creating deals in local communities throughout the U.S. – wherever they live, work or go to school. These "deal scouts" work with the local merchants they regularly visit (restaurants, hair salons, gyms, bars, etc.) to arrange an offer. After the deal is verified by AllStar Deals, the deal scout is given a unique code which tracks their sales. Deal scouts are then encouraged to post the offer on their Facebook and Twitter accounts as well as email the deal to their friends. Each time their deal is purchased, they earn cash – 20 percent of the net amount of each deal. They can also make money by serving as affiliates and promoting other people's deals and earning 10 percent of the net profit.
"Social media continues to be a go-to source for consumers when they are looking for information or advice on making purchases," said Mark Levin, founder and CEO of AllStar Deals. "Giving consumers the opportunity to earn cash, rather than points or site credits, while also providing valuable purchasing advice to friends and family via social networks, is the epitome of social commerce and what we are basing our model on."
Unlike other deal sites, AllStar Deals is committed to creating a fairer deal structure for its merchant partners by offering 60 percent of all revenues – ten percent higher than what most deal sites pay. The company believes that in addition to the increased revenue, merchants will gain exposure to new audiences and the incentivized social nature of the offer increases the chance that merchants will experience repeat business.
AllStar Deals also offers national deals in collaboration with celebrities and major brands. National deals can be marketed by celebrities and brands as a way of connecting with and thanking their fans. When offering deals to fans, celebrities and brands have the ability to channel their commissions towards their favorite charity or foundation.
The company has filed a patent application for its unique social network deal system and methodology.
