Al's Angels Hosts 2nd Annual 24 Hours of Hope Fitness Fundraiser to Support Children and Families in Desperate Need
October Event to help spread cheer to children stricken with cancer, rare blood diseases and severe financial distress
NEW YORK, FAIRFIELD, Conn. and NORWALK, Conn., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Al's Angels, a non-profit charitable organization founded by Westport resident and Zeta Interactive CEO Al DiGuido, today announced it will be hosting its 2nd annual 24 Hours of Hope weekend fundraiser at Edge Fitness Centers in both Norwalk and Fairfield, CT.
24 Hours of Hope is designed to raise awareness and funds for thousands of children in the tri-state area who are suffering from cancer, rare blood diseases and severe financial hardship. Throughout the two day event, participant s will be sponsored by family, friends and colleagues as they work out on stationary bicycles , treadmills, ellipticals and dozens of other fitness machines at both clubs. This year's event will also feature an expanded schedule of workout classes, including Zumba, Yoga, Spinning, Reformer, TRX, Kettlebells and personalized training sessions.
This year's event follows the great success of the inaugural 24 Hours of Hope event, which raised $100,000. The goal for this year's event is to raise over $150,000.
With limited spots available , participants are encouraged to register in advance at www.24hoursofhope.com. The site will allow them to schedule for their hour(s) of workout time along with signing up for their choice of workout classes. Once again this year. Those that work out will be treated to great music, super healthy snacks and the knowledge that ever y minute is counting to help those in desperate need.

- Donation – Al's Angels is asking ALL participants to raise at least $60 per workout hour in sponsorships

All proceeds from this event will go directly to Al's Angels which was founded in 2004 by digital marketing pioneer and Zeta Interactive CEO, Al DiGuido to help families challenged by cancer, rare blood diseases and severe financial distress. The mission of Al's Angels is to provide financial and emotional support to children suffering from these challenges and provide them moments of joy during the upcoming holiday season.
