Altair Engineering and Mindjet Sign Agreement to Offer MindManager through the HyperWorks Partner Alliance
HyperWorks users will soon have access to MindManager information mapping software using their existing HyperWorks Units
TROY, Mich., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Altair (www.altair.com), a global provider of technology and services empowering client innovation and decision making, today announced the signing of an agreement with Mindjet® to offer its visual information mapping tool, MindManager, through the HyperWorks Partner Alliance (HWPA). This partnership embodies Altair's commitment to offering a diverse suite of leading software both inside and outside the realm of traditional Computer-Aided Engineering. Planned for official release in the first quarter of 2011, the latest version of MindManager® will be available to HyperWorks users from the HWPA website at www.hyperworksalliance.com at no incremental cost using customers' previously acquired HyperWorks Units.
MindManager software was created to conquer information overload, simplify project planning and communicate ideas more clearly for individual users, within teams, and across organizations. MindManager's visual information maps start with a central theme and then add branches with ideas, notes, images, tasks, hyperlinks and attachments. Users can easily import from or export to a variety of applications including Microsoft Office®. MindManager maps are ideal for capturing and organizing information to quickly transform thoughts and ideas into fine-tuned documents, compelling presentations and winning strategies. MindManager has been adopted by more than 1.5 million professionals around the world and 44 of BusinessWeek's® 50 'World's Most Innovative Companies'.
"Fostering innovation and driving decision-making is core to what Mindjet's products and services provide," says Ken Hirschman, Mindjet Vice President of Business Development. "We view the HyperWorks licensing system as an ideal conduit to expand our business by leveraging Altair's global user base to expose new audiences to MindManager."
HyperWorks is a suite of enterprise analytic applications that includes statistical, database, visualization and simulation software to help companies make better business decisions. "The addition of MindManager to the HyperWorks Partner Alliance demonstrates Altair's commitment to providing robust and comprehensive solutions," explains Martin Nichols, Altair Executive Vice President of Global Alliances and Operations. "This is the first HWPA application that can be truly leveraged across an entire organization. Now everyone from engineers to management to purchasing departments can directly benefit from access to the HWPA, which adds compelling value to our software offering."
Mindjet's flagship software MindManager will be the latest addition to the growing portfolio of software applications available through the HyperWorks Partner Alliance. These applications cover a variety of domains including CFD, durability, NVH, impact analysis, and injection molding simulation.
