EDISON, N.J., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Altec Lansing today announced its popular line of everything-proof portable Bluetooth speakers are available at retailers across the country, including 146 Best Buy stores. Beginning this week, customers can visit select Best Buy stores to see and demo three speaker models at different price points in a 3D holographic endcap display that illustrates the products' durability by making it appear as if they are being assaulted by fire and water.

The star of the show is the top-of-the-line Altec Lansing BoomJacket ($199.99), a portable Bluetooth speaker with a heavy-duty, washable rubberized skin that's impervious to practically every environmental onslaught. Music can be played or streamed wirelessly up to 50 feet away from any Bluetooth-enabled Apple^®, Android^TM or BlackBerry^® phone or tablet or computer, or in wired mode using the built-in Aux port. All three models are IP67-rated for their waterproof, sandproof, shockproof and snowproof construction; are floatable and submersible; and weigh one pound or less. The BoomJacket and Mini LifeJacket come with a built-in universal mounting mechanism for easy attachment to equipment and structures like bikes, kayaks, jet skis, motorcycles, tent poles, and tennis or volleyball uprights for wherever-you-are listening.
