AMD And Alienware Team Up With The New Film "ASSASSIN'S CREED" To Create A Movie Virtual Reality Experience

"The 'Assassin's Creed' Movie VR Experience is a thrilling piece of virtual reality that will excite aficionados of the game, fans of the movie and newcomers alike. Developed and rendered using innovative AMD Radeon™ technology, which is designed to fuel the creation of real-time photorealistic VR content, the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience was shot on-location during the movie's filming both in Malta and at Practical Magic's studio in Burbank.

To mark the official release of the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience, AMD and 20th Century FOX have joined The Game Awards 2016, the video game industry's biggest night, and AMC Theatres®:

On December 1, the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience will make its debut at The Game Awards 2016 'ASSASSIN'S CREED RED Room' brought to you by AMD, Alienware and FOX (previously the Green Room), which will also feature exclusive clips from the movie, live interviews and special guest hosts.

From December 2 through January 1, 2017, the "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience will roll out to cinema-goers at AMC Theaters in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin and New York City. The theaters will feature several Oculus Rift demo kiosks where viewers can immerse themselves in the powerful content before or after their movie. Each of the kiosks will be powered by the new Alienware Aurora PC featuring the new Radeon™ RX 480 graphics cards.

The "ASSASSIN'S CREED" Movie VR Experience will be available for free through the Oculus Video app on both Oculus Rift  and Samsung Gear VR and as a 360 video on Facebook from December 1.
