BETHESDA, Md., Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- American Capital Agency Corp. (Nasdaq: AGNC) ("AGNC" or the "Company") announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a cash dividend on its 8.000% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock (the "Series A Preferred Stock") (Nasdaq: AGNCP) of $0.50 per share for the fourth quarter 2012. The dividend is payable on January 15, 2013 to preferred shareholders of record as of January 1, 2013, with an ex-dividend date of December 27, 2012.
