About American Millennium Society
American Millennium Society is a non-partisan, non-ideological organization dedicated to the reform of public institutions to increase American competitiveness. The Society will formulate profound yet practical strategies to restructure and refocus those institutions in the areas where they must perform in order to advance American competitiveness in a dynamic, global environment.
AMS Projects
The Urban Education Initiative will harness the capabilities of urban communities by engaging a broad coalition of civic leaders, local businesses, educators, government officials, faith-based organizations, parents and philanthropists to create an integrated, community-based educational model that will support the development of energetic and engaged students who will drive the engine of urban revitalization and prosperity.
The Urban Economic Development Program enables cities to realize their full potential by undergoing a three-step transformation process involving the evaluation of the current positioning of the city as compared to other cities to meet the people's needs of the future, then determining the appropriate future positioning (the "goal"), and define how the alignment of the city's assets can work together to take the new position (the "strategy").
