American Suzuki Motor Co., Inc. provides training aids for future technicians
Five motorcycle engines placed in MMI labs
PHOENIX, Aug. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI) was recently the recipient of five new motorcycle engines for use in its Factory Authorized Suzuki Training (FAST) elective labs. Both MMI campuses – Phoenix and Orlando, Fla. – received engines from American Suzuki Motor Co., Inc. Each campus received two RM-Z450K engines, and Orlando also received one GSX-R600 engine.
"American Suzuki Motorcycle Technical Training is pleased to donate these engines for use in MMI's Factory Authorized Suzuki Training program," said Doug McIntyre, training manager, American Suzuki Motor Co., Inc. "We value and have a high regard for our partnership with MMI. The FAST program provides Suzuki dealers a supply source for quality entry level technicians."
The five new engines will add to the already diverse amount of Suzuki product in the FAST elective, and in turn, will better prepare MMI FAST graduates for potential employment with Suzuki dealerships across the U.S.
"Our 23 year relationship with Suzuki continues to grow stronger," said Dennis Hendrix, director of national accounts. "With product donations such as this, MMI and Suzuki continue to produce highly competent entry-level technicians for employment in the Suzuki dealer network. "
By providing training aids directly from the manufacturer, MMI students are learning on the equipment they will someday be maintaining as a motorcycle tech. The continued relationship with manufacturers like Suzuki showcases students that are chosen by industry and ready to work.
