America's Organizations Recycle More than 26 Million Print Cartridges with Funding Factory
ERIE, Pa., Nov. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Funding Factory, the company credited with inventing fundraising by recycling print cartridges in 1998 to create an opportunity for schools and nonprofits to earn money without selling, celebrates America Recycles Day and the efforts of more than 50,000 organizations who participated in the program resulting in preventing approximately 26 million printer cartridges from entering our nation's landfills to date.
"Schools and parents all across America should be proud of their efforts teaching children well," said Sean Michaels, co-president, Funding Factory parent company Environmental Reclamation Services. "They should be credited with building the next generation of environmental stewards. Even preschoolers can help with sorting recyclables and teens can trade in their old cell phones with Funding Factory's sister program, Maxback.com," he added.
America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to the promotion of recycling in the United States. It's one day to inform and educate, one day to get our neighbors, friends and community leaders excited about what can be accomplished when we all work together, one day to make recycling bigger and better 365 days a year.
