(NYSE: AHS), healthcare's largest staffing provider and workforce innovator, announced the promotion of Beth Machado to President of Travel Nursing. In this role, she will be responsible for the strategy and performance of AMN's travel nursing recruitment and account management teams. Additionally, Ms. Machado will oversee the international and electronic medical records (EMR) businesses, as well as Rapid Response, AMN's NurseChoice brand that supplies short-term travel nurses to fill critical staffing needs of healthcare facilities.

Before joining AMN Healthcare in 1988, Machado worked in sales and marketing at UNICCO Service Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts and then as a national commodities broker for Multivest in La Jolla, California. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
As President of Travel Nursing, Ms. Machado will continue to report directly to AMN's President of Healthcare Staffing Ralph Henderson.
