Anacostia Rail Holdings Names Mark Sidman General Counsel
CHICAGO, Jan. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Anacostia Rail Holdings, Inc. (www.anacostia.com) has appointed Mark H. Sidman as general counsel, a newly created position, effective January 1, 2013. His responsibilities include legal guidance, regulatory matters, transaction negotiations and related matters for Anacostia and its railroad subsidiaries.
Mr. Sidman has provided legal assistance to transportation and railroad industry clients for more than 30 years. Previously, he was partner, founder and transportation practice leader of Weiner Brodsky Sidman Kider PC, a Washington, D.C. law firm. In this firm, Mr. Sidman represented Anacostia and many other short line railroads, trade associations and transportation-related businesses.
Mr. Sidman was previously special assistant to the executive vice president of the United States Railway Association. He holds a B.A. in economics from Hobart College and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
