For the first time, SNICKERS® Brand offered consumers the chance to select the name of a new product through an exclusive vote on the brand's Facebook page. And today Mars Chocolate North America announced the fans' satisfying choice – SNICKERS Xtreme.
The moniker is appropriate for a delicious new product with an extreme blend of the ingredients fans love. SNICKERS Xtreme includes a single layer of crunchy roasted peanuts and smooth caramel perfectly blended and enrobed in milk chocolate.
"A SNICKERS Bar packed with this much peanuts and caramel is sure to be a fan favorite – which is why we let them have the final say in how to name it," said Roy Benin, Chief Consumer Officer, Mars Chocolate North America. "We were confident fans would choose a name that's as satisfying as the bar itself, and they did."
Consumers selected the name from a list of five options: SNICKERS Xtreme, SNICKERS Go Nuts, SNICKERS #MoreNuts, SNICKERS Nuts Galore, and SNICKERS Nuts.
The new SNICKERS Xtreme bar will be available at retailers nationwide in 2015 in a "2 to Go" format (3.56 oz) that's ideal for sharing or eating some now and saving the rest for later.
