Angela Carmichael Appointed General Manager of FleishmanHillard's Toronto Office
TORONTO, Dec. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- FleishmanHillard has announced the promotion of Angela Carmichael to senior vice president, partner and general manager of its Toronto office.

Carmichael began her career 20 years ago as a PR co-op student at a major multinational corporation before joining an international PR agency in Toronto, where she took on roles of increasing responsibility. She then went to work for IBM, establishing her credentials as one of Canada's top corporate communicators.
Returning to the agency world, Carmichael joined FleishmanHillard five years ago, bringing knowledge of both the client and agency environments. Since joining the firm, she has taken on the creation of a new corporate practice and built it into one of the agency's fastest-growing groups in Canada, with significant clients in the public and private sector. She has also led teams from other practices, including consumer, public sector, healthcare and financial communications, on various client projects. Her corporate group also leads crisis communications and media training services.
A Halifax native, Carmichael is a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University and Acadia University. She replaces Bill Walker, who is taking on new projects outside the company, including a return to writing. Walker will continue to work with FleishmanHillard clients as a senior advisor to the Toronto office.
