The Ringling Elephants, Zingmaster and Clowns Salute the Capitol Building and Washington Monument

WASHINGTON, March 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey:

What: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey^® Presents Zing Zang Zoom is coming to the Washington, D.C., area for five weeks of thrill-filled, mind-blowing circus spectacular where family fun is no illusion. To kick off the show, Zing Zang Zoom's biggest stars will march on Capitol Hill in red, white and blue with special guests; the Washington Nationals favorite Presidents Teddy, George, Abe and Thomas. Saluting both the Capitol Dome and Washington Monument, the elephants will parade up 3rd Street N.W./S.W., making a stop on the National Mall.

WhEN:  Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m.**

WHERE: The route for the animal walk is as follows:

• Start on Virginia Ave. S.E.
• Northwest on Washington Ave. S.W.
• West on Independence Ave. S.W.
• North on 3^rd St. S.W./N.W.  
• West on G St. N.W.
• North on 6^th Street to the loading dock of the Verizon Center.

Photo-op locations: Members of the media are encouraged to take photos at 3^rd Street between Madison Drive N.W. and Jefferson Drive S.W. Expected arrival at 1:20 p.m.
