Anova Immersion Circulator Now Available Internationally
STAFFORD, Texas, Nov. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Anova's Immersion Circulator, the fastest growing sous vide brand in the United States, announced today that it will now make units available to the international market.
Launched last year, Anova has only been available for purchase within the United States until now. Units are ready to ship around the world starting today.
"We've been receiving requests from all around the world since we began and so we are incredibly excited to offer the Anova Immersion Circulator to our international customers," said Jeff Wu, Anova's Sr. Engineer in charge of sous vide products. "These new units will feature the same great quality and the same affordable price as our domestic versions."
Sous vide cooking was developed in mid-1970s by Georges Pralus, internationally acclaimed chef of Troisgros in Roanne, France. He invented the technique to minimize costly shrinking and to optimally cook foie gras. Sous vide was later utilized by Air France for first class passengers and has grown in popularity from there, becoming a staple in gourmet restaurants and households across Europe.
Restaurants and foodie kitchens alike have been using sous in the United States as well, much to the credit of the modernist cuisine movement. Popularized by shows such as Top Chef, more home chefs are branching out to try the method in their own kitchens for dinner parties and get togethers.
The Anova circulators are available in black, red and blue, and can be purchased from www.anovaculinary.com.
