CULVER CITY, Calif., Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Antioch University Los Angeles President Neal King, PhD, will attend the second World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Doha, Qatar from December 7-9. The invitation-only summit brings together prominent education, corporate, political, and social leaders from all sectors of society across the globe for an intensive program promoting debate, inter-disciplinary exchange, networking, creative thinking, and action focused on the issue of global education.

The 2010 WISE Summit will highlight two main areas of discussion within the larger and permanent theme of "Building the Future of Education." Those two areas include "Improving Education Systems" and "Exploring Innovative Trends." As President of Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA), Dr. King brings a wide range of experience and insight to defining the vision of education that WISE and its participants wish to bring to the world.

"I'm honored to have been invited to attend WISE 2010 as a guest of the Qatar Foundation and a member of the incoming IAUP Leadership Team," said Dr. King.

"With over 1000 delegates expected from around the world, it will be an honor to represent AULA while learning about current trends and currents in Higher Education from an international perspective."

WISE was founded in 2009 with the goal to inspire innovative change in global education. Launched by the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, under the aegis of her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser al Missned—and with the support of major partners, sponsors, and media—the summit is a platform  for collaborative debate between many of the world's influential thought leaders and decision makers to find innovative solutions to global educational challenges.
