"I created an executive leadership network within General Motors. This network supports a national resource group empowering their members to engage locally in support of our mission: Attract, Develop and Retain employees and grow our relationships within the Hispanic community," Fox said. "I use my engineering, communication and networking skills to strengthen my role as a Diversity Leader."
Before joining the team at General Motors, Fox worked in several positions at Owens Corning Fiberglass. She came on board at General Motors in 2000 as a Central Ergonomist and then took on developmental positions as an Industrial Engineer, Production Supervisor, Process Team Leader in Pre-Production Operations and then her current position in manufacturing engineering. All of which have strengthened and helped her diversity development role for the company.
Fox earned her MS degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialty in Ergonomics and her BS degree in Industrial Engineering, both from Texas Tech University. To further her professional development, she is a member of the Hispanic Employee Resource Group, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, MANA and the National Association of Professional Women, which honored her as a VIP Woman of the Year. She cites Eric Gonzales, Director of European Test Facilities and Alma Crossley, Director of Diversity, as her professional mentors.
When not working, Fox enjoys participating in half marathons, wine tasting and travelling. She dedicates this recognition to her husband, Dr. Robert Fox, and to her children, Matthew and Robin.
