App Developer STRV to Host May Apple Watch "Hack-a-thons" in Two Key Markets - San Francisco and Prague, Europe
Winners to be awarded with Apple Watches of their own
SAN FRANCISCO and PRAGUE, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- STRV, a full service mobile and digital agency, will host its first public Apple Watch "Hack-a-Thon" Saturday, May 9 in Prague, Czech Republic, followed up by May 23, at its offices in San Francisco, CA. The events are being hosted in order to come up with innovative app ideas for the Apple Watch. The events, part of the new STRV Labs research platform, will closely follow the highly anticipated April 24 release of Apple's new Apple Watch, which was announced last week.

"Hack-a-Thons are about ideas," says STRV CEO, David Semerad, "and we're looking for innovative app concepts and cool designs that will inspire the app community. The "Hack-a-Thons" are open to all interested iOS developers and designers, who will work together in teams of one or two to come up with compelling app ideas using Apple's WatchKit. There will be plenty of Apple Watches on hand to test the apps, and each member of the winning team will be awarded with their own Apple Watch.
Winners will be selected by STRV team members.
"We'll be looking at the overall package," says Lubo Smid, COO at STRV who will act as the hack-a-thon's mentor. "The winning team must not only present a great app idea but also have an eye-catching design. In my opinion, the perfect team combo will include an experienced developer and designer."
The day will start with a brief Apple Watch tutorial given by STRV designers before teams are turned loose to hack away! Snacks and lunch will be provided.
