With deep industry expertise and sales experience in North America and Europe, Szemerenyi is poised to lead the charge on Appboy's global expansion following the company's recent $7.6M Series A financing.
Szemerenyi brings over 15 years of sales experience to Appboy, with a background that includes 10 years service in the Royal Navy Submarine Service and executive positions at top IT companies. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Corporate Sales at 1E, where he created the company's Channel Sales program and quadrupled its Indirect Sales business. Prior to his role at 1E, Szemerenyi acted as the Vice President of Corporate Sales for Appsense, where he grew the sales team from three to 24 and increased revenue by 340% over a three-year period. Before moving to the United States, he was also the UK Sales Director at Quantum, and held Sales Management roles at ADIC Software and Veritas.
At Appboy, Szemerenyi will be responsible for building a world-class sales team, creating key processes and delivering on aggressive sales targets that will solidify the company's position as the premier MRM platform.
