ArchPort® Footwear Introduces SlotFlops™, Flip Flops with Slots Designed to Carry Credit Cards and ID Beach and Poolside

FREMONT, Calif., March 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Matt Potts, inventor of ArchPort® footwear, is introducing a new flip flop innovation, available April 27th. "SlotFlops" are very thin and flexible flip flops with slots in the arches of the soles, designed to carry credit cards and identification. Cards are placed into the arch area of the sole where they maintain the flexibility of the sandal while also contributing to arch support. As many as 6 credit cards fit comfortably and securely in the sole.

On March 20th Matt Potts and co-founder Paul Bardwil established SlotFlop Ventures, whose core mission is to "help you fill your sole with what is essential to your life...." Paul is a business consultant and Cuba/Latin America cultural trip specialist who together with Matt Potts (ArchPort® inventor) plan to reach travel destinations throughout the world. SlotFlops will meet traveler needs for providing an innovative, convenient and secure way to carry credit cards, identification and small items in their sandal soles when on a cruise, poolside or at the beach. The SlotFlops product is ideal for today's travelers, and minimalists alike, who prefer not to carry bulky items in their apparel.

As part of the product launch, SlotFlop Ventures will have a contest asking customers how they will "fill their sole." The winner of the contest will receive a SlotFlop-venture-backed micro business opportunity (more to be announced on SlotFlops.com).

SlotFlops retail for $25.95 and customers who preorder before the April 27th availability date will be provided a certain ship date on or before the April 27th availability date.

ArchPort® footwear has launched innovative footwear products for 12 years now and is always pushing the envelope. They were the first footwear company to integrate compartments in the sole, and ArchPort's Matt Potts has suggested the use of GPS and other electronics in footwear for over 10 years as the first "footwear technology integrator." ArchPort® continues to explore and implement wearable solutions integrating the latest technologies as they are ready for market.

Matt's challenges to introduce a new footwear concept are noted by US News and World Report, including ceasing the manufacture of a competing product by America's largest apparel company.

Other ArchPort® products were most recently featured in US Airways Magazine, SkyWest Magazine and Porthole Cruise magazine. Past products were featured on Good Morning America and Maxim Magazine, among others. They have sold through ShoeBuy.com, Hammacher Schlemmer, QVC, Brookstone and other quality retailers. SlotFlops will initially be available through Brookstone.com, ShoeBuy.com, as well as on the SlotFlops.com web site.

ArchPort ®  products are patented and trademarked, with patents pending. Athletic footwear and sandal products were featured several times in Inventors Digest Magazine and were a 2004 winner of Invent Now America®.
