ARCO Design/Build, Inc. Selected for Seafood Storage Warehouse Expansion

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Icelandic® USA, one of the nation's premier seafood companies, has awarded ARCO Design/Build, Inc. the design and construction of their 88,000 square foot freezer warehouse expansion project. The new facility will be used to store their value added seafood products and further optimize efficiency in their processing and distribution processes. With its current storage operations located separate to its headquarters, the new facility will be adjacent to Icelandic's offices and will maximize productivity. Rick Barnhardt, Vice President of Supply Chain at Icelandic® elaborates, "Currently, we use a leased cold storage facility that is away from the headquarters, so we have to double handle everything by receiving raw material in one facility and transferring it to the production building. Our brand new building will optimize efficiency and make a more productive use of our resources, time and capabilities. It will be nice to finally have a place to call our own."
