ARES Security Improves Modeling Capability with AVERT version 7

BURLINGAME, Calif., Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ARES Security Corporation announces the newest version of AVERT, the company's solution that visually depicts, analyzes and optimizes physical security.  AVERT version 7 improves the software's modeling capability with the use of the COLLADA model format.  This format greatly enhances the re-usability of existing models in both open source and propriety data sources as well as use 2D & 3D geometry from existing data stores such as computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS).    

With AVERT customers create 3D models of their facilities and run thousands of simulations to identify threats and evaluate various security designs. The solution allows customers to realize the most effective and cost efficient security posture.  The AVERT family of products consists of AVERT Professional, the solution designed for the highly regulated defense and nuclear markets, and AVERT Essentials, the solution created for commercial security organizations.  Both AVERT products will gain the benefits of using the COLLADA model format, including:

• Return on investments: Version 7 utilizes customer's existing 2D & 3D geometry, which is already used for operational management and security design, providing added value to existing investments.
• Ease of use:  Version 7 greatly improves the path finding process by implementing enhanced navigation mesh generation tools.  These tools increase automation and decrease manual administration allowing customers to create models faster and easier. 
• Faster Results: The ability to create models faster and the use of existing data stores speeds up the time-to-value.  Customers will spend less time on creating models and more time on analyzing and optimizing their security.
• Increased Application: Version 7 allows customers to work with more complex geometry and therefore create larger models.  AVERT can now model vast areas such as cities to assess and optimize regional security.
