Headquartered in Rochester, New York, Sentry Group is the manufacturer and world's largest producer of fire-resistant safes, chests, files, security storage containers and gun safes.
Power on Demand is designed to reduce electricity demand charges, which can account for 30% to 70% of a commercial electric bill.
The order represents Arista Power's third sale of a Power on Demand system, a proprietary, patent-pending system that is designed to utilize energy generated by wind turbines, solar PV or the grid itself together with a custom-designed battery storage system and a proprietary real-time "smart monitoring" technology. The monitoring system is designed to smooth power demand on the grid by maintaining grid demand within optimal parameters, thereby reducing peak demand charges, prolonging battery life and lowering commercial electricity costs.
Mark Matthews, Arista Power's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said that, "The fact that our first Power on Demand system was installed at a customer facility in February 2011 has been an important factor in moving the sales process forward and generating significant additional interest in the product."
