PHOENIX, Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Arizona Chapter helps unite the industry to provide a grant of $10,000 to benefit the families of the fallen Yarnell fire fighters. Marking a collective industry effort, 100% of the funds raised will directly support the families affected by the Yarnell fire through the grant to the United Phoenix Fire Fighters Association.

Helping to lead the charge rallying the insurance industry was IICF Arizona Chapter board member Marc Adler, Senior Vice President, AmWINS Brokerage of Arizona. "The Yarnell fire was served as a poignant reminder of the dangers first responders daily face. The members of the Arizona insurance community are deeply grateful for the commitment, courage and sacrifice of our dedicated fire fighters. We are proud to honor their memory and help support the families of those affected."
The IICF Arizona Directed Grant was made possible through the leadership and contributions of AIG, AmWINS Brokerage of Arizona, Chubb & Son, Colony Specialty, James River Insurance, Markel and Meridian Financial Holdings.

The IICF Arizona Chapter is the newest addition to the IICF's Western Division, having launched in autumn of 2012. The Arizona Chapter boasts a board of fifteen leading Arizona insurance executives and is focused on providing grants, volunteerism and leadership within the region. The Arizona Chapter will continue its community impact through IICF Week of Giving, the insurance industry's largest, annual, united volunteer and personal giving program. Taking place October 12-19, 2013, Week of Giving offers volunteer and giving opportunities across the country that enable insurance community to give back to local nonprofits.
