Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Acquires G. S. Chapman & Associates Insurance Brokers, Inc.

ITASCA, Ill., July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG) today announced the acquisition of G. S. Chapman & Associates Insurance Brokers, Inc. (Chapman Insurance) headquartered in Pasadena, California. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1973, Chapman Insurance is a retail insurance broker providing property/casualty, employee benefits and risk management insurance services for their clients throughout the Western United States. They specialize in placing coverage for the non-profit, healthcare, education, and real estate and transportation industries. Gregory S. Chapman and his team will continue to operate in their current Pasadena and Lafayette, California locations under the direction of James G. McFarlane, Western Regional Manager of Gallagher's retail property/casualty brokerage operation.
