ITASCA, Ill., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG) today announced the acquisition of Old Greenwich Consulting Group located in New York City, New York.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Old Greenwich Consulting Group offers employee benefit consulting and brokerage services, including life insurance and group benefits, for their middle-market clients in the Eastern United States.  They specialize in the design, service and implementation of employee benefit programs.  Michael Johnson and his associates will continue to operate in New York City under the direction of David Ziegler, Eastern Regional Executive Vice President of Gallagher's employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
