AUBURN, Ind., Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Having starred alongside Hollywood greats Dudley Moore, Liza Minnelli and John Gielgud, a 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith touring limousine featured in the 1981 blockbuster hit Arthur will be sold during Auctions America by RM's Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale auction, March 16-18, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Originally delivered in Paris, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith eventually made its way to America and onto the Arthur movie set, where it transported the three legendary actors and earned its personalized "ARTHUR" license plates.

"We're bringing a touch of 'Old Hollywood' charm to South Florida," said Donnie Gould, Auctions America president.  "This '56 Rolls-Royce personifies the glamour and prestige of a golden era. It was recently refurbished by its present owner to look as pristine as it did in the movie."

Other cars with celebrity pedigrees being offered at the Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale event include a 1933 Cadillac seen in the Academy Award-winning film Seabiscuit and a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 owned by Formula One World Champion and Indianapolis 500 Winner Jacques Villeneuve.

Preview days are March 15-18 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The auction is March 16-18 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Enthusiasts interested in attending the auction can purchase a four-day pass for $50 or a single-day pass for $20.  Children under 12 years of age receive free admission when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Due to the Broward County Convention Center's location and new Federal security requirements, everyone will be required to show government-issued picture identification, such as a passport or driver's license.
