NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, TuneCore, a leading digital music distribution and music publishing administration company has announced an ambitious initiative to further bolster high-profile exposure opportunities for artists. Through a series of live performances, special events and strategic brand partnerships, TuneCore will give artists the chance to be seen by even more fans, music supervisors and other industry executives. Primary brand partner Swisher Sweets has come on board with a broad commitment to support emerging artists. CraveOnline.com, Swinghouse, Ultimate Ears and Mirrored Media join Swisher Sweets to round out the initial sponsor brands, allowing TuneCore to develop a robust schedule of programming to be announced throughout the year.
"TuneCore has always been about getting independent artists' music in front of the world. This new program takes the core values of TuneCore and expands them into new areas of opportunity. 2015 for Tunecore is about more artists, more music, in front of more people in more ways," said Joe Cuello, Chief Creative Officer of TuneCore. "Additionally, through these programs we want to demonstrate to brands the value of partnering with TuneCore and our amazing roster of over a million account holders."
TuneCore Live: Hollywood
Earlier this year, TuneCore launched "TuneCore Live," a monthly concert series highlighting some of the best and brightest independent music talent today. Performances will occur on the last Wednesday of every month at Bardot in Los Angeles, one of Hollywood's most historic music landmarks, with the next performance scheduled for February 25th. The series is produced in partnership with Swisher Sweets, Swinghouse, Ultimate Ears, Mirrored Media and CraveOnline, who will be posting content from the shows to their millions of readers online.
"Swisher International is very excited to be sponsoring this creative initiative with TuneCore and the other organizations. Our flagship brand, Swisher Sweets, has always been very popular within the music industry and we are ecstatic to be supporting musicians within this platform," said John Miller, Sr. Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Swisher International. "The TuneCore initiative will be the cornerstone of the Swisher Sweets Artist Project, which is a program to support and reward artists involved in many different endeavors as they work through the creative process."
"TuneCore Live" is the first of a number of planned special events and live performances that will be available to TuneCore Artists as the year goes on, and further events will be announced throughout 2015.
Looking Forward: 2015
Additional programming will concentrate on amplifying artists' visibility through support at well-known music festivals, special events and original programs aimed at getting content in front of listeners. At SXSW 2015, TuneCore will be hosting multiple showcases along with its partners featuring a diverse mix of talented TuneCore Artists. Later in the year look for other special events including a 10 episode web series called 'Convenience Store Sessions.'

This new initiative will help extend what TuneCore does through its online services and digital tools by creating on-the-ground experiences that provide high-profile exposure opportunities for TuneCore Artists.
