Ascension Energy Group's Sequoia Energy Project, LLLP Has Combined Producing Wells and New Drills in the Texas Gulf Basin
HENDERSON, Nev., Oct. 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ascension Energy Group, Inc., Managing General Partner of the Sequoia Energy Project, LLLP, is pleased to announce that the program's leases in Throckmorton County, TX have successfully been transferred to its new operator Dino Operating, LLC. 13 out of 39 wells have been turned back on in the first phase of re-developing these Putnam Leases.
Ascension, along with Dino and the landowners, will be determining how many additional wells should be turned on as commercial producers compared with the possibility of drilling new wells on the property for a reduced price; the goal always being the highest returns for investors in the project.
Phase two of this project is commencing shortly: The Sandpiper Prospect in Matagorda County, TX, located in the Gulf Basin. Ascension has purchased the Prospect and 3D Seismic information from Rod Einspanier of Einex Energy (Geologist) and together will partner with Kaler Energy Corp. to drill and operate the first well down to 4000/5000 ft. in the Miocene formation.
"We're particularly excited about our lease in Matagorda because our location(s) are inside of a fault trap with unrisked reserves. Having faults that come together on both sides of the lease means that we will be able to extract whatever we hit without the risk of oil and gas being decreased by surrounding production and/or drilling activity," said Lon Stein, President of Ascension Energy Group.
In addition to finalizing the Sequoia Project, Ascension has just released its second program called the Lavaca County Klimitchek Prospect, LP. Continuing to work with Einex and Kaler Energy, there are high hopes for this natural gas and condensate prospect on the edge of the Eagle Ford Shale. Four out of five wells have been hit of the same kind going down to the Wilcox Sands, about 12,000 ft. or a little over two miles deep.
