NORCROSS, Ga., Aug. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Ashworth College, a leader in online education, today announced that it has appointed Jill Wine-Banks to its Board of Directors.

Wine-Banks brings to Ashworth (http://www.ashworthcollege.edu) her expertise as a corporate executive, attorney and not-for-profit leader. She has extensive experience in international business development, financial operations, alliance creation and management across a variety of industries to include education, government, manufacturing and telecommunications.

Having held several corporate posts with top corporations such as Motorola and Maytag, Wine-Banks also served as Officer of the Chicago Public Schools where she was responsible for career and technical education. Her innovations there included the creation of DeVry Advantage Academy, where students can simultaneously earn a high school diploma and a college associate degree. Additionally, she served as General Counsel of the United States Army and was one of three Watergate Special Prosecutors responsible for the main Watergate trial.
