Association for the Advancement of Wound Care Plans for State-of-the-Art Website for Patients, Personal Caregivers and Healthcare Professionals World-Wide
MALVERN, Pa., Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) announces the hiring of Pennsylvania-based website development agency, Grant Advertising Design, to redesign its current website, www.aawconline.org.
AAWC is committed to fostering excellence in wound care by providing the healthcare professional and lay-public with a comprehensive body of information and resources that spans care settings, disciplines, practices, and types of wounds.
A website redesign task force has been created and is comprised of fourteen AAWC member volunteers. The goal of the team is to create a striking, world-class website that is easy to maneuver and streamlined in design. This includes incorporating the Advancing the Practice (ATP) resource center for healthcare professionals, currently found at advancingthepractice.aawconline.org, into one premier website: www.aawconline.org. The site will also include an educational patient and lay-caregiver resource section and blog, a government and regulatory alert area, association news and updates, a secure store and a membership joining and renewal center. The new site will be released by early 2011.
Additionally, AAWC offers free membership and accompanying resources and benefits to patients and their personal caregivers for a limited time by contacting patient_advocacy@aawconline.org or calling 800-237-7285, extension 113.
