Assurant Board of Directors Increases Quarterly Dividend to $.21 per Common Share

NEW YORK, May 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Assurant, Inc. ("Assurant") (NYSE: AIZ), a premier provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products and services, announces that its board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $.21 per share of common stock. This represents a 17 percent increase above the quarterly dividend of $.18 per share, declared on Jan. 13, 2012. The dividend will be payable on June 12, 2012 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on May 29, 2012.
