Astrata Acquires China Based Yamei From Trimble

WAALRE, Netherlands and CHAI CHEE, Singapore, October 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

Singapore based Astrata Group Pte. Ltd. announced today that an affiliate has bought the Chinese company Yamei Electronics Technology Company (Changchun) Ltd. from Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB).  This is Astrata's second acquisition of a subsidiary of a major listed company this year, having acquired Qualcomm Enterprises Services Europe (Omnitracs Europe) from Qualcomm Inc. in January.  

Yamei is China's leading producer of advanced smart keys for vehicle dealerships throughout China. The company's technology and products span a range of intelligent electronics and systems for the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors, including Next Generation Keys, Vehicle Remote Diagnostics and Management and Control Systems. Astrata intends to manage and grow Yamei as part of its global transportation technology business.
