Astute Medical Completes $13 Million Financing With Existing Stockholders

SAN DIEGO, March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Astute Medical, Inc. today announced the completion of a $13 million financing, which represents an extension of the Series B financing completed by the Company in May 2010. The transaction involved the sale of additional Series B shares to certain existing Series B stockholders including, but not limited to, Domain Associates, Delphi Ventures, De Novo Ventures and Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation.  The Company intends to use the proceeds to advance and expand its research, development and validation of biomarker-based laboratory tests.
