SAN DIEGO, Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, American Trucking Associations Chairman Phil Byrd announced that the federation had reached an agreement on a contract extension with Bill Graves to remain as ATA's president and CEO.
"Under Gov. Graves' leadership, ATA has undertaken a number of initiatives to position the association as the leader in advocacy on behalf of trucking and transportation," Byrd said. "We are thrilled that he will remain as the face of our advocacy in Washington for the foreseeable future."
Graves has been ATA president and CEO since 2003 after serving two terms as governor of Kansas. During his time at ATA, the federation has advanced a strong agenda of safety, essentiality and sustainability in Washington.
"I am tremendously proud of what we have accomplished at ATA in my almost 12 years here," Graves said. "And I am excited to see what we can accomplish in the coming years."
