ATC Achieves ISO 27001:2013 Certification
LYNDHURST, N.J., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ATC today announced it has achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification for information security management. ISO 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for certifying that a provider's information security management system (ISMS) protects its information and that of its customers.
"Information security is the highest priority for ATC since it has far-reaching implications for daily business operations and interactions with customers and business partners," said Bill Van Winkle, Chief Information Officer, ATC.
ISO 27001 is published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). By successfully completing a formal audit process, organizations can obtain an official certification based on the ISO 27001:2013 standards.
"To achieve the certification, we identified potential risks to our information security and created remediation plans and policies to close gaps," said Lookman Fazal, Global Head of Technology and Security, ATC. "ATC's results were certified by accredited, external, and independent auditor DNV GL."
ATC joins many leading, global businesses that have earned the prestigious ISO 27001:2013 certification, including GE and Siemens. This achievement adds to ATC's impressive resume of earned safety and quality certifications, including ISO 9001:2008, AS9100:2009, and NUPIC and NIAC audited.
