ATIMS Upgrades California Jail Management Software (JMS) Systems, Expands into Oregon and Colorado
LOS ANGELES, March 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Jail Management Software (JMS) developer ATIMS has been awarded the coveted Alameda County JMS Contract. Ranked as the fifth largest jail system in the United States, this massive California Bay Area facility holds 4,300 inmates. Alameda County is in excellent company, joining the San Mateo and Solano Counties as valued ATIMS clients.
San Mateo County, also located in the Bay Area, manages 1,800 inmates. Solano County, which is near Napa, is expanding into a 2,000-bed facility.
Outside of California, ATIMS has just signed their first contract with Yamhill County in Oregon, and added Las Animas County, Colorado, to their 'LITE' System client list.
ATIMS's JMS software platform is built from the ground up and is revolutionizing how Law Enforcement Agencies and software vendors work together. Unlike other JMS vendors in today's market, ATIMS empowers Agencies with software configuration control by giving them the Keys to the System. No other Law Enforcement Software Vendor allows the depth of manageability that ATIMS has built into its software platform. This manageability saves the Sheriffs Departments and County Jails—and ultimately their taxpayers—tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars annually in maintenance and support costs typically charged by other software vendors.
"A fundamental need in the JMS market was not being met," says Systems Architect Boris Shukman. "Larger providers focused on CAD and RMS as their flagship products and gave little attention to their JMS solution. While no two facilities are the same, the ATIMS JMS software alleviates high customization costs by giving control back to each agency and working seamlessly with their unique needs and procedures."
Winning the prestigious contracts for San Mateo, Alameda and Solano Counties is very exciting for ATIMS because of the various levels of sophistication in the software design involved. ATIMS has been contracted to design Biometrics throughout the system, from Personnel Login all the way to POD Kiosks for Inmate requests. In addition to Biometrics and Kiosks, ATIMS is also designing a wireless configuration that allows mobility, which is extremely beneficial to Jail systems working with a leaner workforce.
The ATIMS philosophy creates a trusted and positive business partnership within the symbiotic relationship that naturally grows between a Law Enforcement Agency and its Software vendor. Sheriff's Departments and Jails are taking notice of the ATIMS advantage.
