"As we work to make our own operations at AT&T more sustainable, we also want to empower our customers to live more sustainably," said Jenifer Robertson, Vice President and General Manager, AT&T-Rocky Mountain Region. "The skip the bag initiative joins our other environmentally focused retail efforts, like our eco-devices and device recycling programs, that help AT&T and our customers to minimize our impact on the environment, today and well into the future."

AT&T's Skip the Bag campaign is in support of The Nature Conservancy's efforts to protect and restore the lands and waters on which all life depends. The Nature Conservancy takes innovative action to invest in the planet's environmental and economic future, such as Canyonlands Research Center in Utah.

"The Nature Conservancy is excited by this new opportunity for people to make a simple choice that contributes to the protection of our state's unique lands, waters and wildlife," said Dave Livermore, state director of The Nature Conservancy in Utah. "We are happy to join AT&T in their efforts to raise awareness and engage more Utahans in the race to save our natural world."

The Nature Conservancy has protected nearly 120 million acres around the world over 60 years, including more than one million acres of private and public habitat throughout Utah, for plants, animals, and people since 1984. With the support of programs such as Skip the Bag, they will continue to protect and restore Utah's lands, forests and waters for future generations to come.

Throughout the duration of this campaign, customers will also have the opportunity to donate additional funds to The Nature Conservancy at Utah AT&T stores. To learn more about AT&T's sustainability efforts, please visit www.att.com/sustainability.

Canyonlands Research Center - Utah
The Nature Conservancy is pioneering science and practical solutions to help people adapt to climate change and preserve America's Canyonlands—a recreation mecca and a region like no other on Earth.  The West's most pronounced temperature increase is in the Colorado River Basin, which has warmed more than twice as much as the global average. Prolonged drought coupled with human demands is creating dire impacts on lands and waters vital to local communities and treasured by millions.

The Canyonlands Research Center focuses on water quality, snowpack and dust, sustainable grazing, carbon sequestration, recreation impacts, and wildlife. We are working with public agencies, scientists and long-time local ranchers to arm decision-makers with the data and strategies they need to safeguard the region's quality of life in the face of increasing threats from a changing climate and human demands.
