SALT LAKE CITY, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- At AT&T1, we've invested more than $200 million in our Utah wireless networks during 2013-2015. These investments drive a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses. They also enhance critical services that support public safety and first responders.
In 2015, AT&T made 274 wireless network upgrades in Utah. We added new cell sites and increased network capacity.

Notable Utah network enhancements in 2015 included:
- Doubled 4G LTE capacity at more than 120 sites in areas including: Alpine, Bountiful, Cedar, Clearfield, Heber City, Hurricane, Logan, Moab, Ogden, Park City, Provo, Salt Lake City-Metro and Sandy.
- Added 4G LTE to the Salt Palace Convention Center.
- Improved the experience for customers on their way to Park City by launching a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) in Cottonwood Canyon.
- Launched new cell cells sites in areas including: Daniels Summit, Downtown Logan and Horsetooth City.
- Boosted service for the 2015 Sundance Film Festival with a Cell Site on Wheels (COW).

We plan for each service to come with a set number of simultaneous sessions. These services will not require annual contracts, satellite dishes or set-top boxes.
We have an extensive Wi-Fi network with more than 40,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots at popular restaurants, hotels, bookstores and retailers. We provide access to Wi-Fi at more than 1 million Hot Spots around the world. Most AT&T smartphone and home Internet customers get access to our entire national Wi-Fi network at no additional cost. Wi-Fi usage doesn't count towards customers' monthly wireless data plans.2
