NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* today announced that Joelle Phillips has been named president of AT&T Tennessee. Phillips most recently served as general attorney for AT&T Tennessee. Former AT&T Tennessee President Gregg Morton has been appointed President of AT&T Southeast Region with leadership responsibility for Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, North Carolina and Louisiana.

Phillips is a 12-year veteran of AT&T and its predecessor companies. Beginning her career in the legal department, she moved through positions of increasing responsibility at the state and regional level. She was recently recognized by the Nashville Business Journal's peer-selected "Best of the Bar" awards for Corporate Counsel and in 2008 was recognized for her work in Telecommunications.
In addition to her responsibilities in the company, Phillips has also been very involved in community and charitable activities. Ms. Phillips holds a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Birmingham-Southern College. She is married to Brant Phillips, a partner with Bass, Berry and Sims Law Firm, and they reside in Nashville, Tennessee.
