AT&T U-verse Brings Innovative "WATCH" Disney-Branded Authenticated Services to Subscribers

DALLAS, April 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T U-verse^® and Disney/ABC Television Group today announced that customers can now access three authenticated products – WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior -- at home or on-the-go -- via a suite of innovative apps for iOS and Kindle Fire devices, and online at WATCHDisneyChannel.com, WATCHDisneyXD.com and WATCHDisneyJunior.com. The three new WATCH products provide qualifying U-verse customers with both access to live, linear network streams as well as an extensive offering of advantaged window "on demand" episodes.

AT&T U-verse customers who subscribe to Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior networks as part of their U-verse TV subscription can now stream these channels live online and via the convenience of their iOS, Android, Xbox and Kindle Fire devices using their AT&T U-verse email and password to login. In addition, customers can view a variety of top series on demand including "Good Luck Charlie," "Shake It Up," "Phineas and Ferb," Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" from Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior on these new WATCH products.

The free WATCH apps include a simple, kid-friendly user interface that brings the current online viewing experience to the high-resolution, multi-touch displays of iOS devices. Once a user downloads one of the WATCH apps or visits one of the WATCH websites, they will receive sign-in instructions to verify their U-verse credentials, allowing them authenticated user access to their favorite Disney Channel, Disney XD or Disney Junior programs on their device(s).

The debut of the WATCH Disney authenticated services follows AT&T U-verse's recent launch of WatchESPN service, as well as Disney Junior, the new 24-hour linear channel for kids ages 2-7 and their families. Content will be coming soon to AT&T's uverse.com and U-verse apps.
