ATWEC Technologies Expands Sales Staff in Florida
Establishes Florida Presence at FACCM Child Care Conference
MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ATWEC Technologies, Inc. (OTC Markets: ATWT), makers of the Kiddie Voice™ child safety system, today announced that its first quarter unit sales in the state of Florida were greater than the Company's total for sales 2011 fiscal year.
The Company attended 2012 Conference and Annual Meeting of the Florida Association for Child Care Management (FACCM), held in Palm Beach County on February 17, where it operated a booth to promote child care safety and demonstrate its unique safety product line. The Company is advertising with FACCM publications, and is an authorized service provider.
The Company's Kiddie Voice™ system is patented, and provides a total child safety solution for transport vehicles. The unit, retailing for $289 per unit, is being sold to US schools and day care centers. All FACCM members also received a $70 discount, thereby reducing price resistance.
FACCM is a professional organization of providers dedicated to ensuring quality in the early learning industry through advocacy, education, and accreditation. Working closely with FACCM has enabled the Company to make connections throughout the entire state, and help spread the word about improving child safety.
The Company today announced the hiring of additional sales representatives in South Florida, to augment the Company's current sales program.
The efforts have led to a dramatic increase in Florida sales, predominantly in Palm Beach County, where the law requiring all day care vehicles to install safety alarms was passed late last year. Palm Beach schools also have the benefit of receiving a rebate from the county, helping to increase childcare safety effectiveness in 2012.
Alex T. Wiley, President & CEO of ATWEC Technologies, stated, "We are extremely pleased with our sales results in Florida, but there is more we can do. With our expanded presence, we can now work faster and get our product in front of more schools, so that they can better see the potential danger of being careless. We are striving to reach the thousands of vehicles that still do not have safety alarms, because even one child left behind is too many."
