Auction Features Assets Of Global Construction Giant

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiger Remarketing Services is auctioning more than 1,000 lots of construction equipment, traffic safety equipment, building, warehouse and office equipment and supplies, along with a wide array of contractors' tools and more, in an online sale at www.SoldTiger.com. Bidding is now underway and will close in rapid succession, live auction style, on Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. (PDT).
The assets are owned by Irvine-based FTR International, a full service general contractor formed in 1984 whose projects included public works, highways, schools, universities, stadiums, and police stations. Tiger Remarketing Services is conducting the auction on behalf of secured creditor East West Bank. "This auction of FTR's highly diverse assets represents an extraordinary opportunity for companies in a wide variety of industries and specialties, as well as do-it-yourselfers," said Jeff Tanenbaum, president of Tiger Remarketing Services. The more than 1,000 lots of supplies and equipment come from FTR's main warehouse at 3324 S. Susan St. in Santa Ana as well as its annex yard at 14312 Franklin Ave in Tustin. Sale previews will be held at both facilities on Sept. 11-12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Construction equipment being auctioned includes loaders, fork and scissor lifts, compaction equipment, air compressors, generators, mixers, concrete saws, sandblasters, hydraulic posthole diggers and more. The equipment also includes traffic-safety equipment, such as trailer-mounted message signs, electronic arrows, warning beacons, street and caution signs, barricades, K-rails and cones, as well as scaffolding, chain link fencing, gang boxes, pipe threaders, tube benders, welders and grinders, chain saws, cutoff saws, sawzalls, skill saws, corded power tools, cordless power tools, and assorted pneumatic tools bits, blades and attachments.
Thousands of electrical supply items like boxes, couplers, receptacles and connectors are on the auction block, along with hundreds of spools of wire, fluorescent light fixtures, power and extension cords, and portable power boxes. Other available items include extension and A-frame ladders, rakes, shovels, hammers, wheelbarrows, various plumbing supplies, pallet racking, adjustable shelving, job boxes, pallet jacks, warehouse fans, dollies, portable heaters, and more.
Available rolling stock includes a fully loaded 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 pickup and a 14-foot, dual-axle Hallmark enclosed trailer. Lastly, the office furniture and equipment includes desks, file cabinets, conference tables, chairs, bookshelves, network servers and racks, computers, printers, scanners, copiers, refrigerators and phone systems.
