AuthorHouse Presents 'Minerals: The Rainbow Connection'

GRAPELAND, Texas, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Author Nansih Spirit Song is proud of her Native American heritage and the teachings of her birthright. In her enlightening new guidebook, "Minerals: The Rainbow Connection" (published by AuthorHouse), Nansih tells of the healing properties of the minerals in crystals and shares her wisdom with readers.

Song writes about the legends of her ancestors, of the love and respect they had for all of the creatures of the world and for the earth itself. She heard the stories of her Cherokee lineage from her mother and grandmother, who gave her the name Spirit Song. Intent on keeping Native American traditions alive, she passes on the legends and stories of healing from her family to the reader.

Sharing some of the stories of her ancestors, Nansih writes:

The Native American remembers a time when people lived in harmony with all of nature and themselves. It was the "old way," when there was no right or wrong, but simply "the way." People hunted for food, not pleasure. They spoke the language of animals, plants, and each other, and offered prayers of thanks and gratitude for all that nature provided...

"Minerals: The Rainbow Connection" guides the reader on a path of Native American beliefs about minerals and utilizing them to stay healthy while providing the reader with a background of the history of Native American cultures and customs. Find out more in this multifaceted new book.

About the Author: Nansih Spirit Song honors and is proud of her Cherokee heritage. She was born in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee (where she still maintains a redwood cabin) and was raised and educated in Miami Beach, Fla. Nansih's grandmother gave her the name of Spirit Song because Nan always said, "Everything has spirit and a song to sing." She still believes that. Nansih maintains a wildlife refuge. At one time, she was a state and federal rehabilitator, even being bitten by creatures ranging from alligators to eagles. She was one of the founders of the 200th chapter of the National Audubon Society, covering five counties.

Nansih wrote a weekly column for five newspapers and published a monthly, then quarterly, newsletter that covered the globe. She also appeared on television programs in Palestine, Texas, and Lufkin, Texas, always advocating the care of the universe in her lectures as well. In the late 1980s she wrote a successful pet care book on using herbs and natural means for healing.
